Shaw AREVA MOX Services, LLC, has the contract with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) to design, build, and operate a mixed oxide (MOX) fuel fabrication facility at the Savannah River site near Aiken, South Carolina. The MOX Project is a major part of the United States’ strategy to dispose of weapon-grade plutonium by making fuel pellets to be used as fuel for commercial nuclear reactors. S.A.
