S.A.Robotics was awarded a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with BWXT Pantex at the Department of Energy Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas. The BOA term is for a period of five years, effective 2/15/05, with an option for two one-year extensions. The firm fixed price tasks are negotiated among three small business awardees for each project and range from $10,000 to $500,000 with $4 Million annual ceiling. SAR has four named subcontractors; URS Corporation, Weidlinger Associates, Hughes Associates, and PM Tech.
The scope of S.A.Robotics work includes nuclear facility buildings and systems, with an emphasis on key the disciplines such as; Electrical, Mechanical, Fire Protection, Civil, Structural and Architectural. Also included are the Non-Reactor Nuclear Facilities covering the same key disciplines in compliance with our ASME NQA-1 Quality Assurance Program elements.
Other tasks include: seismic structural design-analysis and modeling, phenomena hazards design and criteria, and static and dynamic structural analysis, explosives, and nuclear explosives operating facilities, safety significant systems and safety class component evaluations; explosive and blast design-analysis and modeling, and prediction of blast and fragment loading of structures.
Other civil work elements include design and construction oversight of utility upgrades, electrical distribution, gas distribution, fire protection, sewer systems, and domestic water and steam/condensation systems.
