The team of S.A.Robotics, Inc., The Alpha Group & Associates LLC, Washington Group International, Inc., Foster-Miller, and BNFL Instruments proposed a turnkey solution for the remediation of the 618-10 and 618-11 burial grounds.

Hanford Burial Grounds
The overall objective of this project is to develop and/or identify technologies needed for a state-of-the-art, turnkey system for in-situ identification, containment, retrieval, separation, packaging, and final certification (WIPP or onsite) of waste in the Hanford 618-10 and 11 burial grounds.
In Phase I, the team provided concept generation, evaluation, and selection criteria for specific technologies, processes, plans, methods, and procedures documented in a final recommendation report. A preliminary documented safety analysis to support Phase II and III was also developed.
