Waste Drum and Container Handling Systems
S.A.Robotics has provided handling systems for the nuclear industry to handle various sizes of waste containers. Currently S.A.Robotics has developed handling systems specifically for three types of containers: SWB’s, 55 gallon drums, and 85 gallon drums.
The Waste Container Handling Systems rotate and translate the various containers as necessary to interface with application specific bagout ports.
Waste Drum Lift
Waste Drum Lift System
The Waste Drum Lift rotates an 85 or 55 gallon drum to interface the drum with a horizontally orientated bagout port. The Waste Drum Lift can lift up to 1000 lbs. The Lift is electrically powered with 230 VAC gear motors and ball lead screws. The lifts are designed to be operated by a push button control pendant tethered to the Lift; however, modifications can be incorporated to control the design remotely or automated.
Daughter Drum Lift
The Daughter Drum Lift translates a 55 gallon drum to interface with a vertically orientated bagout port. The Daughter Drum Lift can lift up to 1000 lbs. The Lift is electrically powered with 230 VAC gear motors and ball lead screws.
Daughter Drum Lift
The lifts are designed to be operated by a push button control pendant tethered to the Lift; however, modification could be incorporated to control the design remotely or automated. The lift provides 36” of translation but can be modified to meet your project specific needs.
