S.A.Robotics has significant experience designing process filtration, solid separation, and waste handling equipment. S.A.Robotics has designed the following systems:
Underwater Hydrolasing Collection Systems

Filtration Skid Concept
- Designed to collect and filter recovered water and concrete from underwater hydrolasing system
- Removed larger solids in a screen and smaller particles in a mesh filter down to 5 µm
- Included redundant pumps, pressure sensors, and remote sampling ports
- Deployed at the K-Basins at Hanford to keep basin water clean during hydrolasing proof of concept.

Underwater Shredder Collection System

Shredder & Filter Concept
- Designed to collect shredded hoses and cables after underwater shredding
- Used large mesh bag on outlet of pump
- Filter was easily removed and replaced with long handled tooling

Completed Shredder & Filter
K-Basin Hydrolasing Waste Removal System
- Designed system to handle hydrolasing waste stream
- System operated outside basin and could handle up to 75 gpm of sludge
- Separated concrete waste from water
- Remotely packaged concrete waste
- Included waste package handling system
- Returned water to basin or incorporated optional evaporator
K-Basin Sludge Removal System
- Designed system to separate and package K-Basin floor sludge
- Used hydrocyclone to separate solids from liquids
- Solids were packaged underwater in a custom waste container
- System was remotely operated with underwater handling and long handled tools
- Used shielded cask to load sludge containers into 10-drum over-pack
- Used pyrolyser to stabilize and condense waste
