Stress Analysis of CAD Model

Computer based design and analysis tools are fundamental to our fast track “Concept to Creation” design process. Beginning with the concept design phase, our entire design process is computer based. Working only with computer based models enables communication and improves efficiency. Computer based models, combined with animation capabilities, significantly improve interaction within our team and with our clients.

Three-Dimensional Design/Analysis

Our state of the art solid modeling and analysis capabilities ensure fast, accurate and reliable results. At S.A.Robotics, our engineers take concepts from the two-dimensional world of Auto-Cad drawings and conceptual sketches, and transform them into the three-dimensional realm of solid modeling and finite element analysis. Our solid modeling program, Pro/ENGINEER, allows our engineers to see each component working within the whole project before it has reached the shop floor. This approach also helps us work with our clients to refine solutions thereby reducing the need for expensive prototyping.

Animation

3D Assembly

In conjunction with Pro/ENGINEER, we use the power of animation software to view a design in action. This capability allows us to see how components of an assembly interact in all ranges of motion. Our engineers are then able to view clearances within the design and quickly find the easiest method for the routing of hoses and wiring. This approach also enables development of extremely efficient assembly and production procedures.

Drawings

After the solid modeling process is complete, a design is translated into precise Engineering Drawings. These drawings are compatible with laser cutting and CNC design software. The majority of our sheet metal and aluminum plate components are cut by laser or water-jet. This technique gives us dependably precise cuts on all plate components from which the design is then fabricated. Pro/ENGINEER provides our fabrication personnel a ready source of answers to assembly and interface questions during production and fabrication.
