Hydromilling, Hydrolasing, & Waterjet Cutting
S.A.Robotics offers innovative and revolutionary ultra high pressure water cutting and material removal technologies. Ultra high pressure water is extremely versatile, with uses ranging from removal of 8 inches thick concrete, to precise no-heat cutting of steel and other hard materials. These technologies encompass a vast array of applications. S.A.Robotics ultra high pressure water technologies offer a wide range of applications. Coupled with S.A.Robotics experience and innovation, no task is too large or small to utilize these revolutionary technologies.
Hydrolasing
Hydrolasing is the process of removal of the outer layer of a concrete surface using ultra high pressure water. This process is very consistent, and highly predictable, allowing an even removal of material over the entire hydrolased area. Removal can also be done very rapidly, removing over 150 square feet per hour, at anywhere from 1/8” to 1/2” cut depth. S.A.Robotics hydrolasing systems are capable of complete recovery of removed spoils and introduced water, reducing cleanup time. S.A.Robotics has even proven hydrolasing technologies underwater.
Hydromilling
Hydromilling is similar to hydrolasing; however hydromilling uses higher water flow rates to remove larger amounts of material. Capable of removing anywhere from ½” to 8 inches of concrete in a single pass, hydromilling offers tremendous time saving over conventional concrete removal processes. Similar to hydrolasing, S.A.Robotics is capable of using high-volume vacuum equipment for complete recovery of all spoils and water introduced during hydromilling operations. Hydromilling will also remove concrete or similar materials from around inlayed steel rebar without damaging the rebar.
Waterjet Cutting
Waterjet cutting uses high-pressure water to cut precisely through hard or soft materials. Waterjet cutting is an incredible resource due to its flexibility; ability to meet the requirements of almost any job requiring machine cutting and precise to 0.01”, and capable of cutting through 4” steel. Waterjet cutting is also a “no-spark” application; meaning the cutting of metal objects will never yield a spark. This makes waterjet cutting an ideal solution to cutting near flammable substances or materials. S.A.Robotics offers remotely operated systems to deploy waterjet cutting equipment to limited access locations.
