Dome Dismantlement Services

Dome Dismantlement at Yankee Rowe
S.A.Robotics provides complete dome and containment structure dismantlement. Nuclear applications require special considerations which S.A.Robotics can provide, including radiological, environmental and worker safety.
The basis of S.A.Robotics’ experience has been in the successful planning of a major nuclear facilities’ vapor container (dome) during 2003 and 2004. S.A.Robotics can also provide unique remote cutting equipment which reduces the hazards associated with manual dismantlement techniques at the heights required for these types of jobs. S.A.Robotics has designed systems using waterjet and plasma arc cutting for the actual cutting of the dome.

Dome Dismantlement Cutting
Remote rigging and custom crane design are also offered by S.A.Robotics as part of our Dome Dismantlement Service. Collection and processing of waste water generated by waterjet cutting can be provided as well. An integral part of the dome dismantlement service is the structural analysis of the dome during the actual dismantlement phase. S.A.Robotics uses finite element analysis to ensure that structural integrity of the remaining partial doe is maintained through each cut of the process.
In addition, experience with overall dismantlement planning allows S.A.Robotics to provide a completed project with safety, schedule and financial goals met.
