S.A.Robotics’ remote manipulators and robotic arm designs are uniquely suited to perform a variety of tasks inside tanks and silos. The lightweight, high capacity arms can be deployed in above-ground and underground tanks through either top or side penetrations. Once deployed the arms allow a suite of tools to be deployed into the tanks to perform inspections, repairs, modifications, material removal, and cleaning.

The compact, lightweight design of the arms allows them to be easily shipped to site and assembled without heavy loads on the tank or surrounding ground. The arms can also be adapted to harsh environments including radiological, high and low pH, high temperatures, submerged work, and high flammable environments. Although no tank operation is the same, S.A.Robotics utilizes its long experience adapting robotics for difficult environments. With this array of past work, it becomes possible to create a nearly off-the-shelf arm for many different applications. We do this by leveraging existing joint and structure designs, cable management systems, and control systems that have been field proven in past projects.
